The Miataphiles of London consists of Miata and MX-5 owners, and Fiat 124 Spider owners, who live in London and its surrounding communities. It is an informal group with no membership fees or executive committee. The only thing we ask is that all members attend, if not lead, at least one event per calendar year, with your Miata/MX-5/Fiat 124 Spider. Who Is Eligible to Join?

Anyone who owns, or is actively contemplating owning, any model year Mazda Miata or MX-5, or a Fiat 124 Spider (model years 2016 to 2020).

How to Join

1. Create an account on our forum.
   • Once your account is activated, you can view (but not post in) any section of the forum except the Events section.
   • The forum allows us to communicate with each other and maintain a membership roster.
2. Make one post in the New Members section on the forum, telling us a bit about yourself, your Miata/MX-5/124 Spider and why you’ve joined.
   • Once you’ve made that post, you will be able to freely post in other sections of the forum and sign up for events.

Detailed Instructions for Creating An Account

1. Begin at the Forum Home
   • Click on the Miataphiles of London logo at the top left of the page.
   • You can also click on any link that says, "Board index."
   • Alternatively, click this link and you will be directed to the forum home.
2. Starting Registration
   • Click on the "REGISTER" link.
3. Terms and Conditions
   • Read the Terms and Conditions of using this form and if you agree, click on the button labelled, "I agree to these terms."
   • You will be taken to the Registration screen.
4. Registration Information
   • General Notes
     - Read all of the instructions to the left of each field: they will make the process go more smoothly.
   • All of the information requested is mandatory.
     - Username: You don't have to use your real name as a username but you can if you'd like. Your username must be between 6 characters and 30 characters long and you should be able to use any character.
     - Do not use an email address for your username - it's not allowed and it's just bad practice.
     - Note: Please avoid usernames with the word "Mazda" in them that make the username sound like an official Mazda account (like MazdaCanada, for example).
     
     - Email address: You will need to enter a valid email address before your account can be activated. This address isn't revealed publicly on the forum anywhere.
     
     - Password: Please choose a strong password that you will remember. Your password must be between 8 characters and 20 characters long, must contain letters in mixed case, must contain numbers and must contain symbols.
     
     - Confirm password: Enter you password again to confirm it.
     
     - Language and Timezone: Both have been preselected. "British English" is the only language pack installed. We could have installed American English as well, but hey, we're part of the Commonwealth. The "America/Toronto" timezone is also the closest we can come to London. The only other "London" timezone is in the UK, so don't choose that one.
     
     - Driver's First Name, Driver's Last Name: First and last names of the account holder or principal driver. We are a small community, and this is a private forum, so no one but the other members will see your real name.
     
     - Co-driver's First Name, Co-driver's Last Name: First and last names of your co-driver.
     - Note: Co-driver is the club term for your spouse, partner, family member or friend. If you don't have a co-driver, please leave these boxes blank.
     
     - Location: City and Province.
     
     - Miata/MX-5/124 Spider: Tell us about your Miata(s)/MX-5(s)/124 Spider(s). Enter what you think is appropriate; something as simple as 1993 Miata, or something as extravagant as 2001 BRG SE, TRM C1 15x7, Yoko S.drive P205/50R15.
     
     - Confirmation of Registration: To prevent automated registrations, the forum requires you to answer a random question related to the club. The question is displayed in bold. If you are having any trouble, please contact the Forum Administrator.
   • Submit Registration:
     - When you are done, click the "Submit" button.
     - If the forum software detects any errors, you will be brought back to the Registration screen and notified of the errors.
     - Please correct any errors and click the "Submit" button again.
5. Complete Registration
   • Once your registration is processed, you will receive a "Welcome to Miataphiles Of London" email at the address you specified. Your account is created but inactive.
   • The Forum Administrator will review your account and if approved you will receive an email notifying you that your account has been activated.
     - Please Note: The Forum Administrator is a real person; it may take a few hours or even a day to have your account activated. If you are lucky, the Administrator might see your email arrive and activate your account within a few minutes.
   • At this point, come back to the forum and continue with the next steps.
6. Make your First Post
   • When your account is activated, you can view (but not post in) any section of the forum except the Events section.
   • In order to be able to post in the forums, you must make one introductory post in the New Members section.
     - Use this post to introduce yourself, your Miata/MX-5/124 Spider and tell us why you’ve joined.
